Dr. Knapp is board certified in foot surgery as well as Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle surgery and severed as chief of the surgery department at Centennial Hospital for the year 2015. He was a founding member of Foot and Ankle centers of Frisco and Plano in 2001.
Dr. Knapp grew up in Long Island, New York, the son of German immigrants. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Binghamton University in New York. He also completed a Master's degree at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He attended Podiatry school at New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. He graduated seventh in his class and attended Residency at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, a level I trauma center.
During his training, Dr. Knapp performed over 1000 foot and ankle surgeries. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association and former president of the Dallas County Podiatric Medical Society.
