Board Qualified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgeons
Dr. Rebecca M. Wiesner joined our practice in 2016 after relocating to Texas from her home state of Connecticut. She graduated Magna cum Laude from Central Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Biology. She then earned her doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa where she graduated in the top of her class and was inducted into the prestigious Pi Delta National Honor Society. While at Des Moines University, she was also awarded the Dwayne S. Rivard, DPM, Podiatric Surgery Award for academic and clinical excellence.
Dr. Wiesner then went on to complete a 3-year surgical residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. Her training included all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery including reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, diabetic limb salvage and trauma. She served as chief resident during her final year and was a recipient of the Residency Excellence Award.
Following completion of her residency, Dr. Wiesner spent a year in private practice in Connecticut and was an attending at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT. She is Board Qualified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all foot and ankle disorders.
