Meet Horst P. Knapp, DPM, FACFAS

Horst P. Knapp, DPM, FACFAS, is a podiatrist serving patients in Frisco, Little Elm, and McKinney, Texas. Dr. Knapp was a founding member of Foot & Ankle Centers of Frisco, Little Elm, & McKinney in 2001. He is board certified in foot surgery as well as reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.

The son of German immigrants, Dr. Knapp grew up in Long Island, New York. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Binghamton University in New York before earning a master's degree at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He then attended medical school at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City, where he graduated seventh in his class. Afterward, he completed his residency at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, a Level I trauma center. During his training, Dr. Knapp performed over 1,000 foot and ankle surgeries. 

Dr. Knapp is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Texas Podiatric Medical Association, as well as a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a former president of the Dallas County Podiatric Medical Society and previously served as chief of the surgery department at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Centennial in 2015.
