About Dr. Tavakoli
Mojgan Tavakoli, DPM, FACFAS, ABPM, was a founding member of Foot & Ankle Centers of Frisco, Little Elm, & McKinney in 2001 and offers a wide range of podiatry services to patients in Frisco, Little Elm, and McKinney, Texas. Dr. Tavakoli is double board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Tavakoli obtained a Bachelor of Science in medical technology, graduating summa cum laude from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She received her medical degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City, earning numerous scholarships and graduating with honors. She completed her residency training at Manhattan VA Medical Center and New York University Downtown Hospital, where she served as chief resident.
She is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, and Texas Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Tavakoli is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and has served as a member of medical committees at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano and Medical Center of Plano.
Dr. Tavakoli also has surgical privileges at Centennial Medical Center, Medical Center of Plano, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–Frisco, and Baylor Surgicare at Plano. She is the former president of the Dallas County Podiatric Medical Society.
Dr. Tavakoli is known for her compassion and thorough dedication to patient care. She continues to pursue intensive surgical foot and ankle training to offer the latest, innovative techniques for her patients.
Dr. Tavakoli is a clinical instructor for Treace Medical inc, developer of the Lapiplasty 3D bunionectomy correction system. She teaches the procedure to other doctors who wish to learn the new system. Dr. Tavakoli has performed more than 300 lapiplasty procedures, which has designated Foot & Ankle Centers of Frisco, Little Elm, & McKinney as an Elite Center for Lapiplasty Excellence.
